Heat oven to 375. Cream 1/2 C butter with 1 C sugar. Add two eggs one at a time. Mix until well blended. Sift 2 C flour, 2 t baking powder, 1/2 t salt into separate bowl. Alternate adding flour mixture with 1/2 C milk to butter/sugar mixture. Fold in 2 1/2 C blueberries. Pile high into muff tins lined with paper muffin cups (makes 12). Sprinkle with sugar. Bake for 30 minutes, cool for 30 minutes.
